What This Is
Preparedness for Motorized Riders
Motorized Backcountry Preparedness is built for snowmobilers and snow-bike riders who want stronger systems, better awareness and a clearer plan when things get complicated in the mountains.
It is a practical step in a larger progression — building foundational habits first, then advancing preparedness through continued training, experience and field application.
Planning
Build the plan before the ride: route, weather, conditions, equipment, communication and contingencies.
Navigation
Know where you are, where you’re going and how to adapt when the original plan changes.
Extraction
Learn practical systems to get riders and machines out when the day stops cooperating.
Survival
Be more capable when extraction isn’t immediate and the crew must manage the situation safely.
